Get Naked only when you choose.


What this does:

Adds a new dresser option to "get naked". There's also an extra "change to undies" option that has no effect other than for a sim to change to undies, it's just leftover code. Sims will be able to choose to get naked. When they bathe, take showers, sponge bathe, they will change back to regular clothes. You won't have to worry about having a naked sim running around all the time if you don't want to.

In University: Streaking still works, but the sim must be clothed for you to choose to streak. However, Streak with caution. The sim will literally streak themselves to death. They won't pop out of streak unless a motive goes red. If the motive is hunger, they could die. You can make them stop streaking any time you like, just watch it.

Hasn't been tested with pregnant sims, but there is no code in here that should directly effect them.

Will conflict with anything that affects the naked emitter or dressers.

Doesn't work with Merola's hacked dressers, but will work with any Maxis made dresser and any newly meshed dresser that is based on a Maxis dresser.

This hack has no effect on the beds. You'd need another hack for sleep naked.

Installation: Just put the package into downloads.

I made this hack because the original one was conflicting with a few of my mods and I also hated having them not get dressed after bathing. This way, they are naked only when you choose. And it shouldn't conflict as much with other hacks.

From what I remember with this code, it wasn't. Somehow the undies got mixed up.

but the dressers that come after university don't have pie menus. you might want to make an update, I haven't seen any.

Huh? They do in my game Homer. You may have some hack installed that makes that not so in yours.

a lot of my dressers aren't working. Only the ones that came with TS2 and university work.

Well, I used the sims 2 pack clean installer (http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/)

and disabled this hack. I started up the game, went to a lot, bought a bunch of random dressers, and I clicked on all of them. They worked. but they didn't before.

Should I try redownloading?

What seems to be happening is that this hack is conflicting with another hack you have installed in your game. To find out which one it is... re-enable this hack and disable another and so on until you find out which one it it is. Then you will know, and then you can decide which one you want to have.
If you think the download did not reach your computer properly (eg: the file is corrupted) then re-download it but it sounds to me like there is a conflict so I would try what I said above before re-downloading.

well, I thought it might be the hack I downloaded where woman can wear any clothing when pregnant, but it didn't seem to be it. I'll keep looking.

I use this mod and all the add-ons to it with no such in-game anomalies. I know the hack you are talking about (dealing with maternity clothing) but do not use it (nor have I looked inside it) so I couldn't tell you much more about that at this point - it is an older one though, the maternity clothing one. The clean installer will highlight hacks in two different colors. Red is global ones and the other is duplicates (it traces the latter by GUID I think, not by filename - but perhaps both).
Check the accompanying readme file of this here creation to make sure you have the right game configuration for it and such (Carrigon does have other versions of this content posted in various threads in her forum that are specifically applicable to other incarnations/EP's of the game - such as Nightlife and Seasons for example - check if you have the right one for your game by looking in other threads of hers). Also you can use the Clean Installer to do a trial and error sort of process of elimination by disabling other hacks in order to find a configuration that makes this mod work in your game. That's just something that is par for the course, so to speak, once you get to the point that the game is only so much fun when one has soooh many hacks installed. Once it is determined which hacks are conflicting with each other - it basically comes down to which one you value more, because you will have to disable one or the other.
Well, that's probably the absolute extent of the help I can give you on this matter. Deciding which hack you want is the easy part... Finding the one you don't takes a little time - good luck.

well, I've disabled so many things.... I think I will take everything out, except for this hack... and see what happens....

so, I took every single thing out of the downloads folder, except for this hack. I went to a lot..... checked three different dressers (university, family fun stuff, seasons)

university worked, and the others didn't....

ahmird2, what expansion packs do you have?

I have the entire game - Base game and all expansion packs and all stuff packs except for the H&M stuff pack. Also I have downloaded all patches that EA has ever offered. My installation is as such: I installed the software in the order that it came out and also make sure to install the EA issued patches in the order that they were issued - that is to say that when I reinstall the game I install the base game, then the base game patches, then uni, and so on - in the order that the software was released.
I install the game every so often as necessary for me. I can positively vouch that the "Nude Dresser Hack" works up to Seasons and also that it does not screw anything up in any newer incarnations of the game such as the complete chronological incarnation of it as it stands now. I have this content installed with everything up to BV and the dresser works fine (I haven't actually clicked on 'get naked' since Seasons but simply having it installed doesn't F-Kany-Thing up). That is to say that I use this hack and also all the add-ons to it except the spiderman one (if that one is in fact an add-on to this one) and everything works just as described. Spiderman is sound though - It works as described too, I just simply don't use it very much myself so don't think there is some issue with it - There Is Not.
That is basically all the information I can provide at the moment. I suspect that it is primarily useless but I pose it all the same, just in case. Homer, having read your last post I get an impression that you have trouble with this on community lots, as you said "I went to a lot" but I suspect you mean you yourself played a residential lot and had such a problem. Either way I think we need to clearly understand the status of the situation you are currently experiencing. In post number 6 of this thread (the post numbers are noted at the very bottom left of each post box - the one I am referring to is the second post you yourself posted in this thread) you stated that you got the dressers to work. Specifically (I think) you reported that the pie menus finally worked (correct me if I am misinterpreting this somehow). Operating under the assumption that I am correct I have two questions for you... Did the "get naked"option appear on the pie menu? If so, did the sim you were using actually become naked?

The hack works on the dressers for base game and university..... and and the other dressers have no pie menus. well, I guess I could take it out.... but.... if carrigon cares to help, I'm sure she would post
