Omni Plant Lot

Omni Plant Lot TS3
by Carrigon

I finally got the Omni plants and Omni seeds.

This occupied house lot has Omni plants, and I've dropped a few Omni seeds in the yard. If you put the lot with family into your game, you can take your current active sim over to the lot and grab those Omni seeds. They must have high gardening skill to plant these, I think.

This lot has everything. It's got a food replicator. There are deathfish stocked in the pond. The sims on the lot have tons of lifefruit and deathflowers in inventory and they can plant all the rare plants in the game.

Try dropping some of the inventory around town on community lots. I've found you can drop lifefruit and it will stay on the community lot forever, same with death flowers. You can put a bunch of them in the cemetery if you like and they should stay put for other sims to grab. It may depend on if you are playing with storymode or not, I'm not sure, but try it.

You can use this lot in several ways. If you don't want to play these characters, you don't have to. You can have your current controlled family just visit the lot and harvest the plants. Since these sims have alot of inventory items, you might want to play them first and take out what you want.

I ended up putting all those annoying certificates they get all around the house. I didn't want to delete them, but I didn't want them clogging up inventory. You can get rid of them, if you like.

Installation:

Double click the Sims3Pack file. It will put the lot in your game. When in game, go to the Edit Town area. You will find the new family there. Choose to put them in your game with their house. Just put it on an empty lot, there are a few empties in the game. You can then choose if you want to keep playing your current family and just have them visit this lot, or if you want to change active family to this one.

No redistributing without my permission. Please do NOT upload this lot to the new Sims3 Exchange.

Re: Omni Plant Lot

I just tried the lot but you can't go pick up the omni plant seeds when visiting the lot, you can then only choose to plant them there so we definatly gonna need a hack for it, als when visiting the lot there are no death fishes in the pond :S i checked with the water inspection option.

Re: Omni Plant Lot

Did you ask if you could be invited into the house and stay the night? Try that and then see if you can fish for the death fish and pick up the seeds. I've found that some actions are allowed if you are staying the night. Let me know. Also, try playing this lot and dropping the seeds and stuff in the hood, then switch to whoever you were playing and see if they're still in the hood. I don't know if it's storyline dependant.

The deathfish, I don't know, all of a sudden I had the option to stock the pond with them. It could be that you need a certain number of them in inventory first.

Re: Omni Plant Lot

Hi Carrigon,

another possibility is to just move out the family and make the lot a community lot. Plants need neither water nor tending on com-lots, and the fruits respawn over and over. I stopped counting the 10th time harvesting...

BUT: my game seriously lags with more than 1000 items in invetory, so go sell them. :)
BUT2: I'm not sure but afaik you can't revive deathplants on Com-lots. I haven't tried omniplants yet.

Re: Omni Plant Lot

Weird. All of the sims on the lot lost there ability to plant Cheese, egg, steak and patty plants, and cannot order omni plant seeds.

Only a mod that lets you call over the grim reaper and marry him and stuff.

That's a core mod and may not be compatible with this mod.

It's definately compatible, as even without it it still has that glitch. I remember in a family I made(before I even had any mods or new patterns), One of my sims lost the ability to plant cheese and egg plants after switching households.

Re: Omni Plant Lot

If it's happening after switching households, then it's a game bug. You can try the Awesome Mod at MATY for it.

The death fish only appears at night. Get an angel fish, fish with it in the graveyard or the gothic cemetery family ponds. (whetever they are called translated in english)
