ForeverBurn Fireplaces (NightLife and OFB Only)

This is the Nightlife version of my foreverburn fireplaces hack. Buy a fireplace, have a sim light it, and it will burn forever and you will never have a house fire from it. Sims can Poke the fire, warm themselves, and view the fire. Just watch that view. Since the fire never goes out, sims will watch the fire for a very long time, possibly even if their needs are critical.

To put the fire out, go into buy mode, load up the cheat window, ctrl shift c. Type in moveObjects on. Just move the fireplace alittle bit. The fire will go out.

This is a global hack, it will affect all fireplaces in the game.

NOTE: Please remove the old hack zforeverburnsafefire from your game BEFORE installing this one. The two conflict and you can only have one in your game. If you had the old hack but just upgraded to this one and you go into a lot and the fire is out, but you seem to have fire interactions for the fireplace, just use the moveobjects on cheat in buy mode to move the fireplace alittle bit. This will reset it. Then have a sim light it.

Installation: Place package in downloads.

Works with OFB, no need to update, no code changes needed.

this is pretty good, no more unexpected fires, does this apply to all the fires or just one?

It's global, all fireplaces are affected.

Its really strange. I hate a fireplace in real life. They have a tendacy to be too drafty in the winter, fire or no. But my Sims love the fireplace. I love this mod. Thank you Carrigon.

I know I'll love this mod. I adore a fireplace. I'd live in front of a fireplace if I could get away with it. (I can't even count all the times I've fallen asleep in front of my fireplace.) Now I can let my pregnant Sims curl up in front of their wonderful fireplaces and sleep off a prenancy.

I noticed on the fireplace mod that is says nightlife and OFB only. I have university installed in, so does that mean it won't work in my game?

No, actually, I really do depend on this mod for beauty and safety, lost when Pets came out, and despite exhaustive (or so I though) searching could find neither mention of the mod nor its creator till a kind soul ("Speepycat") pointed me to you and this site---great bowing and repect to both of ye!

The Pets version works with Seasons, but if you don't have Pets, you can try this one.
