 StarWars-SandTrooper-Armour [NewSkin]
Here, for you delight, is a StarWars Sand Trooper.
This download contains 4 files, install the Sims 2 Pack and copy the other 3 files to your downloads folder.
This file Overwrites the Adult Male Kilt mesh, and that silly hat with the propellar on it. These can be undone by removing the three files from your downloads folder.
These can be found in CAS "Saved Sims" and "Custom Hair"
Each bit of the armour was painstakenly welded on to the appropriate sections of an original Maxis skin GMDC, so all anims work properly.
I would highly appreciate any and all feedback on tis mod as I am in new teritory here and I want to get it as best I can.
[These original files are not to be re-posted, links only please]
For those of you who use the kilt a lot please reply to this thread mentioning which skin you use the leased and would like to see replacied with this skin and I will see what I can do.
I hope you enjoy this mod as much as I do,
Have Fun!!

Ok, this proves it; you've GOT to try to make a General Grievous or Darth vader or someone cool like that! Heck, even a Samus would be in grasp of your talent!
As for this Sim: it beats every other stormtrooper and such I've seen on Modthesims2 by a LONGSHOT! It runs fantastically on my game, and any flaws are rather minor. Grade A job, pal!

This is really cool. I would like to see this as a stand-alone outfit instead of one that replaces a hair mesh. I can understand the reasons you do it like this though but if you could make it an outfit it would be about perfect.

Actually, I noticed a problem: the helmet, though it's under hair meshes, only appears when the Sandtrooper is in Everyday clothing; anything else makes it dissappear.

Just wanted to say this is awsome! Not sure how easy it would be for you to mod it and remove the shoulder paldron so I could make just the basic stormtrooper?????

 Re: StarWars-SandTrooper-Armour [NewSkin]
hey vamp, I'm sure you've noticed this by now, but when I put in my Pets expansion and all of my mods onto my new computer, the Sandtrooper armor no longer shows up; the kilt and hat-thing show back up, and the only difference is that the propellor cap has (what looks like) part of the sandtrooper helmet skin on it. I was wondering if you could see what's up with this, for I'd REALLY like to put the sandtrooper back in!

Thanks. I'm trying to put together a Sci-Fi convention lot and this will be great for some of my sims to wear to the convention !

Well, i don't know what was up with the kilt thing; I guess the mesh just wasn't properly installed, lol. And I know I've asked it before, but have you figured out why the helmet appears only in Everyday and Athletic yet?
P.S.: You ever take a look at the Battle Droid servos? I don't want to harass you; I'm just eager to see what it looks like ^^;

The kilt shows when on the lower graphics settings, this is because there are 2 meshes for clothing the normal, Full detail, and the second for lower detail (the lod 15 mesh). this only has the one mesh at present.
The Helmet was made out of the silly hat with the propellar on top, so whatever catagory that shows in, the helmet shows in.
I did do a lot of work on the battledroid servo, but due to modifications in the later releases of milkshape, it didn't like the mesh, I will continue with it after I restore my system next, as I am going to go back to using an early Milkshape, the newer ones are more trouble than they are worth.

Alright, I'll keep the milkshape tip in mind if I download it again; also, maybe replacing a different, less-used hairstyle would work better? Perhaps cloning a hairstyle and applying the helmet to it would A: allow people to still use the original hairdo, and B: make the helmet stay all the time...but I know nothing of modding, so it'd be a long shot XD

I have only one thing to say, it's also what critics wrote about The Da Vinci Code
"This is pure genius"
