Apartment Door Hack (AL) *Updated 9/4/08*

This hack opens up the hidden options on your apartment door.  You can rent a furnished apartment, calculate rent amount, and complain about noise or smell.

This is a global hack.

Installati​on:  Place package in downloads.  

UPDATED 9/4/08:  Small update to the pie menu, just cleaned it up for you.  Still works the same way.  To update, just take out the old hack and put in the new one.

Recolor/Re​distributi​on Policy:  No hacking, No re-hacking​ , No copying, No cloning, No recolors, No redistribu​ting without my permission​.

You can try it, but if you don't use the hack as is, I can't make any guarantees​.

The pie strings are different for the US and the UK English.  That could be why.

i love this hack, in fact it's the ONLY hack i have in my game right now.  shocking but true.  I too want a version without the debug business on it.
anyway, this isn't about that.
This hack works great except when you try to rent an apartment before the landlord gets on the lot.  if you pick "rent furnished apartment" before he gets there, you'll just get an unfurnishe​d apartment.   it's no big deal just move your sims out and back in and wait for him to get on the lot before you click the door.
just a heads up for all the speed clickers, of which i am sadly one.

I have a slight problem...​. I used the "rent furnished flat" option and it worked fine the first few times but then I used it and a lot of the furniture was invisible and I couldn't even delete it.  

Make sure when you use the option that you are playing a sim who doesn't already have an apartment rented.  You want a fresh family that you just put on the lot.

For other issues, neighbors only show when they are home.  If they're at work or busy, you probably won't be able to get them to come to the door.  

This particular hack, I didn't mod the code, all I did was open the options.  So any real issues with it would still be Maxis coding.  This is really just a door pie hack.
