Smarter Cook Times TS3 UPDATED 6/21/09

This file gives you more realistic meal times.  Breakfast is at 5am till noon.  Lunch is noon till 6pm.  Dinner is 6pm and available all night till 5am.

I also added code to delay fridge food spoilage.  You shouldn't see the clean out the fridge option for awhile.

UPDATE 6/21/09:  It should take longer for the food to spoil in your fridge.  Also made an adjustment to make sims more likely to clean up after eating.  To update, just replace the old file with this one.

Installati​on:  If you have already downloaded my Homework hack, just unrar this file and place it in Packages.  If you have not downloaded my Homework hack, you will need to do so as it contains the file folders and full installati​on instructio​ns.  TS3 hacks are installed differentl​y than TS2.

Wow, thanks a lot for this hack. I haven’t even noticed the difference in the mealtimes yet, it was the spoiled food in the fridge (amongst many things) that was annoying me

Right now, I think the problem I'm having with it is that I'm not seeing the txt strings.  I need access to the scripts files and SPI doesn't have them freed up yet.  That and the TTAB's.  The TTAB plugin isn't available yet.  Give it some time.

It shouldn't eliminate brunch, but I can't guarantee it.

I'm so pleased to see all these mods, and you've made them so quickly. It's wonderful!

I feel a lot better knowing that it will be possible to mod this game. (For a while, I was worried, the way Pescado was talking.) I have relied on many of your mods in Sims 2 (like the safe no-fire mods), and I didn't want to lose out on the same functional​ity in Sims 3. So when I saw all these mods already done, it sure brought a smile to my face.

Well, the problem JM is worried about right now is that the real text strings for all the objects are in a file format called MSIL.  And as of now, we haven't been able to decompile much of that yet.  So, we can only do certain mods for you until we have all this straighten​ed out.  But I think we can take care of most of the annoying things for now  

Will this conflict with the AwesomeMod​ ? That has "eat any meal any time" in it, although I'm not sure if it does anything about spoilage.

I really don't know if it conflicts.   If he's just using the pie menu cheat, it won't.

I think someone told me that it doesn't conflict, but he has updated his mod alot, so I don't know about now.

Please make a mod that forces sims to always eat the food they prepared. You know they used to put it on the counter and stand by it like a dummie.
